Endless scrolling

For those of you who’ve been asking about infinite/endless scrolling, here are the instructions on how to get it working on your blog.

1. Go to the “Customise” menu, click on the “Theme” tab, then click “Use Custom HTML”.

2. Hit Control + F (Cmd + F on a Mac) this will enable you to search the code in your theme.

3. Find </head> in the theme code.

4. Enter this directly before the </head> you just found:

<script type=”text/javascript” src=””></script>

So your code should look like this:

   <style type=”text/css”>

   <script type=”text/javascript” src=””></script>

5. Now use the find feature again (Control + F) to find this {block:Posts}

6. Enter this BEFORE {block:Posts}

<div class=”autopagerize_page_element”>

7. Now find {/block:Posts} and enter this AFTER it:

8. Nearly done. Now you need to enter the following code in the “Custom CSS” box under the “Advanced” tab:

.tumblrAutoPager_page_separator, .tumblrAutoPager_page_info { display: none; }

I’ve just outlined the way to do this manually but if you’re not confident getting your hands dirty with code, then you can download the following file which has all the elements to enable endless scrolling. Just install by copying and pasting the contents into the “Theme” box.

Download Jennifer(Infinite Scroll Version) here.

The only reason I haven’t made this an official release is because I don’t seem to be able to turn the option off from the settings menu. I’ll have a look at this and may incorporate it in the future if I can figure it out!
